Serving and Giving No Matter What the Cost
Every night when it is bedtime for the kids I lay down with them and my husband reads a few chapters in the Bible till they both fall asleep. One night last week, as he read, a certain scripture caught my attention. The scripture was found in 1Chronicles 21, David was commanded to build an altar unto the Lord in Or'-nan's threshing floor. David asked Or'-nan to sell him the threshing floor for the full price, v22: Then David said to Or'-nan, Grant me the place of this threshing floor, that I may build and altar therein unto the Lord: thou shalt grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people.
